Rotalac Shutter Systems

Building on our technical excellence in plastic extrusion and injection moulding, Rotalac Plastics Ltd commenced the manufacture of shutter systems in the 1980's.

Investing in the latest manufacturing technology to be housed in their Cheshire site, the new facility enabled Rotalac to combine moulded and extruded components with their own patented balance mechanisms to produce robust and stylish shutters that can be deployed in a wide variety of environments.

Recent investment includes a new steel rolling facility which enables Rotalac to produce their own steel slat, keeping the complete steel shutter production process in-house.

All Rotalac shutter systems have unique mechanisms for safety, ease of use and for fast installation. They are designed to meet the demands of the real world to make storage simple and effective. Rotalac pioneered the use of roller shutter doors in office furniture within the UK and European marketplace and a dedicated team provides support and advice for customers across the world.

We manufacture and assemble the majority of components used for Rotalac shutter and tambour systems in our own facility, ensuring costs are strictly controlled without compromising quality or flexibility. New systems and components are tested to BS standards, and undergo rigorous product testing procedures. All products are manufactured in accordance with our quality procedures accredited by BS.EN ISO 9001:2000.
